Investigation launched after three teenagers stabbed in Solihull

Detectives have launched an investigation after three teenagers were stabbed in Solihull last night (Saturday 13th February).

Three teenagers presented themselves at a local hospital with stab injuries at around 6.30pm.

A 16-year-old is currently being treated for serious injuries where his condition is described as stable and two 15-year-old boys were treated for minor injuries.

It is believed that the attack happened at around 6pm on grassland around the Hobs Meadow area near to Westcote Close.

Detectives launched an investigation and an area of Hobs Meadow was cordoned off while specialist search trained officers and forensic experts examined the scene.

Detective Sergeant Sam Price, from Solihull’s Violent Crime Team, said: “We are in the very early stages of our investigation and are appealing to anyone who was in the area yesterday evening and who may have seen something to come forward.

“It is still unclear as to what actually happened and we have officers working around the clock to establish the circumstances and enquiries are on-going to apprehend those responsible.

“Officers continue to trawl CCTV and house to house enquiries are being conducted in the area of Castle Lane and Westcote Close.

“Anyone with information is urged to call me or one of my team.”
