More illegal off-road bikes seized in the Solihull borough

Solihull Police executed warrants on Friday (20th May) to deal with illegal bikes in the borough – four quads and one bike have been seized and seven people are currently in custody for various offences.

A spokesperson for Solihull Police said: “We are today taking further action against people who cause anti-social behaviour by using off-road bikes and quad bikes.

“This is our second day of action following complaints from people living in the Chelmsley Wood and Smithswood area.

“Warrants will be executed at locations across the borough and local partners from Solihull Council and the Solihull community association are visiting addresses and speaking to local residents.

“Since March, some drivers of motorbikes and quad bikes have been driving dangerously in the area posing a risk to the welfare of members of the public and we are taking the matter very seriously.

“Last month we arrested four people and seized four bikes and we will continue to take action against people who blight the area, causing noise, nuisance and criminal damage.

“We will take robust action against anyone who has behaved or is behaving anti-socially in this manner.
