Acocks Green to Solihull bus returning to more regular service

Councillors Katy Blunt and Bob Grinsell said they are delighted to announce that the A12 bus (formerly no 30), which operates between Acocks Green, Olton and Solihull, will be returning to a half hourly service from 1st September 2019.

Landflight, a Solihull-based operator, will be taking on the contract for this service and we will soon see their Enviro 200 buses on the streets.

Cllr Blunt said: “We are thrilled that following months of lobbying, we will finally have the A12 back to a more user friendly half hourly service.

“We are also really pleased that Landflight have acted on our requests for school timetable friendly buses and for the buses to drive past Olton Station.

“However, it needs to be stressed this is a use it or loose it service – it will be reviewed in about 6 months time and sadly if numbers aren’t up, then the service may reduce. It is therefore vital that as many people use this service as possible, so spread the word!”
