Pedestrian dies after being hit by bus in Solihull

Police investigating a fatal collision in Solihull this morning (16 September) are appealing for information.

Emergency services were called to Poplar Road in Solihull town centre at 7.40am, after a woman had been hit by a bus.

Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Detective Sergeant Alan Hands, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Poplar Road remained closed as enquiries continued.
