Three men were arrested and a £85,000 BMW wrecked after it smashed into a petrol station wall in Chelmsley Wood during a high-speed chase.

West Midlands Police chased the distinctive green car after it failed to stop for officers in the Washwood Heath area at around 4.15am on Thursday 22nd September.

The pursuit ended 5 minutes later, with the high performance car leaving the road and hitting a wall at Bacons End Petrol Station, at the junction of Chester Road and Birmingham Road.

The force helicopter also aided officers during the pursuit.
