Body of Solihull woman Suzanne Hughes who went missing in Norfolk found off the coast of Holland

The body of a Solihull woman who went missing on holiday in Norfolk has been found by police off the coast of Holland.

67-year-old Suzanne Hughes disappeared last month on the final day of her holiday at the seaside resort of Cromer.

Norfolk Police have confirmed today (05/08) that the body of a woman found at sea 75 miles off the coast of Holland is thought to be that of the missing woman.

The body has been taken ashore in Holland and a post mortem will take place today. Officers from Norfolk are assisting Dutch authorities and formal identification is yet to take place.

Next-of-kin have been made aware.

The retired housing association manager was last seen at around 10.30pm on Friday 17th July – the day before she was due to return to her home in Solihull.

Mrs Hughes’s devastated husband William had described her as a “lovely” person who no one had a bad word to say about.

The couple had been on holiday with her daughter Jane and grandson Matty.
