Chelmsley Wood man in court after machete attack in Tile Cross
A man will appear before magistrates today after another man was left with serious injuries in a machete attack.
Unemployed Carl Gamble, aged 19 from Lowerstack Croft, Chelmsley Wood, was arrested yesterday (01/02) and charged with wounding and possession of a weapon in public.
The attack happened on Tile Cross Road just after 8am on Monday 25th January.
A 50-year-old man suffered serious injuries, which required hospital treatment. He was released two days later and is now recuperating with family.
A 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault remains on police bail while enquiries continue.
