Elderly pedestrian dies after Solihull RTC

West Midlands Police are asking witnesses to a collision between a pedestrian and a Ford Fiesta in Solihull to come forward.

The collision happened just after midday yesterday (Saturday 22/08) on Warwick Road near to the St Johns Hotel.

A 74-year-old man, who was staying with family locally, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury – where he has sadly passed away overnight.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended the scene and now collision investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened and has not yet spoken to the police.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta is assisting officers with the inquiry.
