Man arrested on suspicion of murder after fatal stabbing in Kingshurst

A man has died after attending Heartlands Hospital last night (18th October) with stab injuries.

The 28-year-old was dropped at A&E in a car by a member of the public at around 7.40pm with a serious stab wound to the chest.

Medical staff battled to save the man − who is believed to have been attacked in Hadfield Way, Kingshurst − but he was pronounced dead just before 9pm.

A 27-year-old man from Shard End was arrested last night in connection with the incident and is currently being held in police custody.

West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Marsh, said “We’re still working to establish exactly what’s happened.

“The victim suffered what is believed to be a serious knife injury and there was nothing that could be done to save his life.”
