Man dies after being struck by train near Olton Station

A man died after being struck by a train close to Olton railway station on Monday afternoon (15th August).
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “We were called at around 3.20pm on Monday to Olton railway station following a report a person had been struck by a train.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are working to establish the person’s identity and inform their family.”
Rush-hour rail services were badly disrupted following the incident.
