Man found dead in lake at Elmdon Park

A man has been found dead at a Solihull park.

Officers found a man’s body in the lake at Elmdon Park, just off Tanhouse Farm Road, early this morning.

The pensioner, thought to be in his 90s, was reported as a missing person around an hour before his body was located.

His family have been informed by West Midlands Police, who are not treating the death as suspicious at this time.

A statement from WMP read: “The body of a man has been found by police in the lake at Elmdon Park off Tanhouse Road, Solihull, at 6.20am this morning (Saturday 21 April).

“The man, thought to be in his 90s, had been reported missing just before 5am.

“His family have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.”
