Man has sadly died after being struck by a train at Solihull Station

Emergency services were called to Solihull Station just after 7am this morning following reports of a man being struck by a train (17th February).

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Police were called to the station just after 7am this morning and attended alongside paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and officers are working to identify the man and inform his family.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Lines between Dorridge and Birmingham Moor Street were closed for several hours but have now been reopened.
