Second man charged with murder of father-of-four

A second Solihull man has been charged with the murder of a father-of-four who was fatally stabbed in Wolverhampton during the early hours of Friday 12th October.

Ashley Wilson, aged 27 of Guernsey Drive in Smiths Wood, was arrested yesterday morning (24/10).

He will appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today charged with the murder of Richard Helm, who was stabbed in Raven Crescent, Ashmore Park.

He was also charged with two counts of criminal damage and arson.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the Homicide team, said: “Our thoughts continue to remain with Richard’s family who have of course been kept fully updated about this development.”
