Tudor Grange Park bin theft

Nearly a dozen metal litter bins in Tudor Grange Park were stolen last night (20 February).

Solihull Council said it is replacing them with temporary wheelie bins until permanent replacements are installed.

Councillor Joe Tildesley, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism & Sport, said: “We are baffled as to why these bins have been stolen as they have very limited scrap value.

“My officers have responded quickly and are installing temporary litter bins.

“We will of course be reviewing our security measures. However, as is it a public park it is meant to open for people to enjoy, so we will have to strike the right balance.
