Woman taken to hospital after being hit by train near Solihull Station

Lines were blocked and there was major disruption to rail services after a woman was struck by a train near Solihull Station.
The woman was taken to hospital following the incident shortly before 5pm on Tuesday evening (20th September).
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “We were called to Solihull Station following reports of a person on the tracks.
“We attended and found a 30-year-old woman with non-life threatening injuries.
“She was detained under the Mental Health Act and was taken to hospital for medical attention to get the care and support she needed.”
