Young man who died in Solihull collision named

A young man who sadly died following a road traffic collision in Solihull on Friday (13th January) has been named as Syed Ahmed Shah.

Syed was driving his Renault Clio along Eastcote Lane in Hampton-in-Arden when he was involved in a collision with another car that was travelling in the opposite direction.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics but sadly passed away.

Syed’s family have paid the following tribute: “Syed Ahmed Shah, a loving son, brother and friend to many. He was always full of life and brought joy and happiness to everyone around him.

“He was the kindest and most sincere young man. He will be missed by all.

“At this time we request that you allow us to grieve in private and to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”

Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘Specialist officers continue to support Syed’s family at this tragic time and I would ask that people respect the families wishes for privacy.

“I would urge any witness who have not already contacted us to contact myself or my team on 101.”
