Motorist attacked in carjacking on Morrisons car park in Castle Bromwich

Police are investigating after a motorist was carjacked by two men on Morrisons’ car park in Castle Bromwich.

The robbery took place in the car park of the supermarket on Chester Road just before 7pm last night (Thursday).

West Midlands Police say a 25-year-old man was approached by two men who pulled him to the floor and demanded the keys to his car.

They managed to make off with his black Volkswagen Golf. Fortunately, the man was not injured in the terrifying incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and people who may have any information to contact them.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Police are investigating a robbery on Morrisons car park on Chester Road in Castle Bromwich just before 7pm last night (Thursday).

“A 25-year-old man was approached by two men who pulled him to the floor and demanded his keys.

“They managed to make off with his black Volkswagen Golf car, fortunately, the man was not injured.
