Five charged with assisting an offender in Callum Lees murder investigation
Three men and two women have been charged with assisting James Atherley who was responsible for the murder of Callum Lees on 6 August 2017.
Callum was stabbed at a house party in Hopwas Grove, Kingshurst and found collapsed in nearby Haselour Road.
Atherley was convicted of Callum’s murder in August last year and was sentenced to 26 years in prison.
The following have been charged with assisting an offender and are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Wednesday 6 February).
Kelly Palmer, aged 40 from Letitia Avenue, Solihull
Zac Palmer, aged 22 from Fallowfield Avenue, Solihull
Kelly Casey, aged 38 from Letitia Avenue, Solihull
Cian Murphy, aged 22 from Colesbourne Road, Solihull
Brad Hope, aged 21 from Lyndon Road, Fenheam, Newcastle
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough from the force’s homicide team, said: “Callums’ family has been kept fully updated with this development.”
