Family pay tribute to daughter killed in Chelmsley Wood crash

The family of a young woman killed in a motorbike crash have paid a touching tribute to their loved one.

Lauren Roberts, 20, died on Chester Road when her blue Honda CBR 125 R-5 collided with a black Vauxhall Astra just before 8.45pm on Thursday (25th).

In a statement issued today (Sunday 28th September), they said: “On Thursday evening our beautiful Lauren was tragically taken from us just a few weeks before her 21st birthday.

“Lauren was a loving daughter, granddaughter and sister and the whole family are totally devastated by her untimely death.

“The gap that has been left in our lives can never be filled and we ask that we are left to grieve privately. Any witnesses to the incident are requested to contact the police.”

Chester Road at the junction of Forth Drive was closed for several hours while emergency services conducted inquiries and the 18-year-old man who was driving the Astra was interviewed.
