M&S Foodhall and B&M among new shops opening at Sheldon Retail Park

A new retail park featuring an M&S Foodhall, B&M and The Gym is set to open in June 2019 on Coventry Road in Sheldon.

Sheldon Retail Park was granted planning permission last year and will see the retailers and gym open alongside Morrisons supermarket which is already trading on the site.

It’s the second phase of a scheme first proposed six years ago which saw the demolition of former offices and its replacement with the new Morrisons supermarket.

Developers Chase Midland Estates are behind the retail park.

The site will be anchored by the new M&S Food store which will also boast a small café with outdoor seating area.

Parking for the new site will be shared with Morrisons and shoppers will be able to use a pedestrian walkway linking the retail park to the supermarket.

Marks and Spencer has round 979 stores across the UK, including 615 which only sell food products.

B&M is one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK and has also expanded internationally through the acquisition of the Germany-based Jawoll business in 2014.

The Gym Ltd is the only gym operator listed on the London Stock Exchange and have over 650,000 members across the UK. It has over 133 sites in the UK. Gyms are open 24/7 and there are no contracts tying members in.
