Police name woman who died in Marston Green murder investigation

Police investigating the death of a woman in Elmdon Road, Marston Green, yesterday have named her as Anne Dunkley aged 67.

Her death continues to be investigated and a 24-year-old man is currently in custody on suspicion of murder.

A post mortem has taken place today, which shows Mrs Dunkley died from head injuries.

Police were called to the address at 1.22pm yesterday (Friday 5th June) by a member of the public reporting a disturbance.

On arrival officers found a woman seriously hurt on the floor and a man also with injuries.

Both were taken to hospital.

Sadly Mrs Dunkley died as a result of her injuries.

The 38-year-old man who was taken to hospital with facial injuries has now been discharged following treatment.

Detective Inspector Martin Slevin from Force CID said: “Enquiries are on-going into what happened yesterday in Elmdon Road.

“Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
