Streetsbrook school choir hit the high notes

Pupils from Streetsbrook Infant and Early Years Academy have won an impressive £1,000 after being crowned champions of the Touchwood School Choir competition 2018.

Throughout December, 21 Solihull schools took to the stage in the centre’s annual event in a bid to win the sought-after title.

Amongst strong competition, the singing sensations from Streetsbrook Infant and Early Years Academy walked away victorious after receiving the title of ‘Touchwood School Choir Competition Winners 2018.’

The choir were chosen as the overall winners after guests were treated to seasonal renditions of festive favourites.

Louise Minter, Headteacher at Streetsbrook Infant and Early Years Academy, said: “We are thrilled to have won Touchwood’s Christmas Choir competition!

“The children worked exceptionally hard to prepare and we are delighted that their wonderful performance was recognised.

“The prize money will go a long way to helping the school to fund a number of vital projects.”
