Two teenagers arrested after stabbing in Solihull

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three schoolboys were stabbed in Solihull on Saturday (13th February).

An investigation was quickly launched after the three boys arrived at a local hospital around 6.30pm after the attack which is believed to have happened around the Hobs Meadow area near to Westcote Close shortly before.

The teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested from their home addresses just before 7pm last night and are currently helping police with their enquiries.

A 16-year-old boy remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and two 15-year-olds were treated for minor injuries.

Detective Sergeant Sam Price, from Solihull’s Violent Crime Team, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area on Saturday evening and who may have seen something to come forward.

“It is still unclear what actually happened and we have officers trawling CCTV and conducting house to house enquiries in the area of Castle Lane and Westcote Close.”
