Woman found dead in Wharf Lane

The body of a woman has been discovered in Solihull.

The emergency services were called to reports of a patient in cardiac arrest at an address in Wharf Lane just after 9pm on Thursday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics established there was nothing they could do and the 31-year-old was declared dead at the scene.

Police were not treating the death as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called after the body of a 31-year-old woman was found at an address in Wharf Lane, Solihull at around 9.05pm yesterday evening (Thursday 25 October).

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered a woman who unfortunately it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”

Multiple resources were sent to the scene including two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team.

Fire crews were also sent to the scene.

Force Response said: “@OFFICIALWMAS @WestMidsFire and Response currently dealing with a localised incident at an address in Wharf Lane, Solihull .. There are no concerns for any members of the public.”
