Police appeal after man stabbed in Marston Green

Police are appealing for information after a man was knifed in the ribs in a daytime stabbing in Marston Green (26th September).

The emergency services were called to Station Road around 12.20pm, after receiving reports of a stabbing.

An ambulance crew found a man, in his 50s, with a rib injury. The victim was conveyed to hospital and his injury is not said to be serious.

Police have said both parties knew each other and attempts are underway to trace the offender.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Police were called to Station Road, Marston Green just after 12pm this afternoon (26 September) where a man was being treated by paramedics for a small non-serious stab wound.

“Enquiries are on-going to trace the offender, but we understand the parties were known to each other.”

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing, then treated a male believed to be in his 50s for a minor rib injury. He was taken to hospital. We sent one crew.”
