Argentine steak restaurant opening in Solihull

The Lasan Group are planning to open a second Fiesta del Asado restaurant in Birmingham.

The new restaurant will be housed on Stratford Road in Shirley and will also host live music nights.

The group opened their first flagship Fiesta del Asado on Hagley Road in 2012 to huge critical acclaim.

Billed as Argentina’s first steak house restaurant complete with wood-fired grill, Fiesta del Asada serves up steak in rustic Argentine surroundings.

Asado refers to the Argentinian barbecue technique – placing the meat on a grill and lowering it over embers of applewood chips to give the meat a distinct smoky taste.

On the menu new Solihull diners can enjoy dishes including empanadas – Argentine stuffed pastries served with roasted red pepper chilli, bacala la planch – grilled cod loin wrapped in serrano ham and marinated with lemon and thyme served with roasted vegetables.

But the focus is of course on steak. The restaurant’s largest steak is Bife de Costilla – whopping 40oz – one side, tender fillet; on the other a flavoursome sirloin steak cooked on the parilla. Served with tomato and onion salad, malbec sauce and bearnesa, Brushette de Qaudri. Bife de Lomo – 11oz fillet on the bone, Bife de Chorizo – 10oz sirloin.

Lasan Group CEO Jabbar Khan said “ We’re very excited to be opening a new Fiesta del Asado – in Solihull, although we’re still very much at the planning stages. We hope to announce the opening date soon.”
