Great British Spring Clean
Solihull Council is backing the National Keep Britain Tidy campaign – which aims to get half a million people out and cleaning up their local communities – supporting and encouraging groups, individuals, schools and local businesses who would like to help clean up litter that can build up across our streets and parks.
There will be a number of ‘spring clean’ events across the Solihull borough that will be open to the public.
Solihull Council can provide volunteers with all the necessary equipment such as litter pickers, sacks and vests in order to make sure the clear-ups are a success. The Council’s Environment Contractor, Amey, will be supporting the events by collecting the waste from the organised litter picks.
Councillor Tony Dicicco, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities and Partnerships, said: “Solihull Council is delighted to be supporting the Great British Spring Clean.
“We would like to encourage as many residents, groups and organisations to take part as possible.
“Feel free to attend any events in the borough and really give the campaign a push!”
