Husband admits murder of Chelmsley Wood woman

A 73-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the murder of Tracy Stonehouse, who was found fatally stabbed at an address in Chelmsley Wood on Friday 6th April.

Arthur Stonehouse, of Coralin Close, was arrested for the 51-year-old’s murder after her body was discovered in the early hours at the address.

A post mortem examination established that Tracy suffered multiple stab wounds and other injuries to her head and neck.

The retired man who was arrested and then taken to hospital after being taken ill, was charged with her murder on Sunday 15th April.

Today, at Birmingham Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to her murder.

Stonehouse is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 6th August where he will be sentenced.
