Man repeatedly stabbed in Chelmsley Wood

A man was rushed to hospital this morning after he was repeatedly stabbed in Chelmsley Wood.

The incident happened on Hedgetree Croft off Larch Croft just before 11am (Tuesday 2nd August).

The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

West Midlands Police said it was believed to have been a ‘targeted attack’.

A spokesperson from WMP said: “Police were called to Hedgetree Croft, Chelmsley Wood just before 11am this morning (Tuesday 2nd August) after a man was stabbed a number of times to his back.

“He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is said to be in a stable condition.

“Officers believe this to be a targeted attack and are currently following a number of leads.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
