Man rushed to hospital after stabbing

A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the leg in an early morning attack in Kingshurst.

The victim – a 27-year-old man – remains in a stable condition after the incident at 4.30am on Monday (14th August).

Police could later be seen scouring gardens in Kingshurst Way for a weapon.

Officers have arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of assault.

He has been bailed pending further investigations.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “Police were alerted to a stabbing in Kingshurst Way, Birmingham, just before 4.30am on Monday, August 14.

“A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the leg, where he remains in a stable condition.”

“A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further investigation.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting 20SH/172434H/17.”
