Police raid cannabis factory in Shirley
News • 24th October 2016
Solihull Police raided an old warehouse on Stratford Road in Shirley last week after a tip off from members of the local community.
They found around 600 plants and a fully set up cannabis factory across five rooms using electricity, lighting and hydroponics.
A spokesperson from Solihull Police said: “The building had been set with electric traps and the front cage door had been connected with a 240 volt supply to shock anyone who went inside.
“Luckily we managed to figure this out and instead got in through a wall instead.
“Thanks for calling us when you suspect suspicious activity!
“Our enquiries are on-going.”
