Rededication of War Memorial in Cheswick Green

A rededication of a War Memorial has taken place in Cheswick Green today (20 January).

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Solihull, Cllr Flo Nash, along with members of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

A spokesperson said: “The stones were in a garden which was originally The Victoria Cross Garden and when a planning application was received, Cheswick Green Parish Council with the help of E H Smith, had them moved to storage.

“Bloor Homes have had the stones refurbished and re-sited them in a purpose built garden for all to enjoy.

“Today we had a rededication ceremony and the ribbon was cut by the original owner’s son.“
