Solihull Bannatyne Health Club celebrates 20th anniversary

The Bannatyne Health Club and Spa in Solihull is celebrating 20 years of bringing health and fitness facilities to the local area.

Located on Saintbury Drive, the club joined The Bannatyne Group in 2006, following the £90m acquisition of the LivingWell health club chain from Hilton Hotels Corporation.

The health club, which has more than 3,400 members, has benefitted from significant investment including new café bar, lounge area, upgraded gym with a full range of state-of-the-art equipment including the Technogym Omnia 8, extended range of virtual classes and refurbished shower facilities.

Russell Hawkes, General Manager at the Bannatyne Health Club and Spa in Solihull, said: “We are proud to have reached a significant milestone in the club’s history.

“Since becoming a part of the Bannatyne family the club has gone from strength to strength and members have seen lots of positive changes, with the very latest equipment and a luxury Spa.”

“We had a lovely evening with members and staff celebrating our birthday and are looking forward to the next 20 years!”

The Bannatyne Health Clubs brand is owned by Duncan Bannatyne OBE, who is also known for his appearances as a business angel on the BBC programme Dragons’ Den.

Justin Musgrove, chief executive of The Bannatyne Group, said: “Solihull is a fantastic club, with a friendly atmosphere and great staff and members.

“The Bannatyne Group is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and it is nice to share that milestone with one of the clubs whose acquisition marked its arrival as a serious player in the fitness industry.

“Since then both the company and the Solihull club have been real success stories.”
