Solihull Dunelm store opens its doors

Dunelm, one of the UK’s leading homewares retailers, opened its doors in Solihull today (6th December) and hundreds of local shoppers got a first look at the new store.

The 30,500 sq ft store in Mell Square, was officially opened by the Mayor of Solihull, Councilor Mike Robinson and ambassadors from Dunelm’s new charity partner Home-Start UK. Pupils from Greswold Primary School choir provided musical entertainment during the opening, performing Christmas carols for shoppers.

Phyllis Robbins, from Solihull, said: “It is really exciting to have a Dunelm opening in Solihull, I’d usually have to go to Small Heath so it’s great to have a store on my doorstep!

“It is a wonderful store so it was a great to be one of the first customers through the doors!”

Dunelm is making a significant investment in the local Solihull area and offers over 20,000 home furnishing products, across homewares, furniture and seasonal Christmas decorations and gifts.

Solihull store manager, Jason Lunt, said: “The opening event was a great success and we really enjoyed welcoming our Solihull neighbours into our new store.

“We have been counting down the days to opening and everyone in the team worked really hard to get the store ready for the official opening day.

“We are looking forward to settling into our new neighbourhood and have got lots planned over the next few months for the local community.”

The Solihull store stocks products from favourite household names such as Dorma, Fogarty, Joseph Joseph and Brabantia, plus new designs from Dunelm’s own exclusive Elements and Hotel brands.

With more than 130 unique bedlinen designs, 400 lighting solutions, 400 different wall art and mirror designs, over 500 filled cushions and covers, over 100 readymade curtains, 90 rug designs and in excess of 600 fabrics in-store alone.

Dunelm’s Made to Measure Bespoke Service is also available, allowing home makers to choose from over 4,000 fabrics to create curtains, blinds and accessories.

Expert in-store advisors will be on hand to help provide customers with advice.
