Solihull Mayor welcomes pupils from Reynalds Cross School

On Monday 7th November pupils from Reynalds Cross School in Olton completed work experience at Solihull Council.

Reynalds Cross is a special school for pupils aged 2½ to 19 years old with severe, complex and profound multiple learning difficulties.

The students, aged 15-17, spent the morning working in areas of the Council House and the Mayor’s Office – and met the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Mike Robinson.

Their tasks included photocopying documents, stamping letters and taking them to the Mayor to be signed.

The students were also treated to a tour of the chambers where council meetings take place.

The Mayor said: “It was a great opportunity to meet these young people and introduce them to the world of work.

“The pupils of Reynalds Cross were very helpful and worked hard.

“We thoroughly enjoyed their company and hope that they were able to take a lot away from their time with us.”
